UK-born Nigerian artiste Maleek Berry talks about his humble beginnings – he grew up in inner city London, and like many artistes, he started off in church.
He used to rap over Nas and Jay-Z beats in a church group, then fell in love with production when making the group’s beats.
Everyone in his family knew he would go into music full-time, but his parents made sure he graduated from university before going ahead.
He also talks about being caught in between the Davido and Wizkid beef. He first met Davido in 2010 when Davido was still a teen, and came to Nigeria after he had been away since he was 6, then started producing for Wande Coal, Wizkid etc.
… and so much more!
