Defunct music group Styl-plus made up then of Shifi, Tunde and Zeal have reportedly signed a multi-million naira recording deal with Eskimo Records.
The fan favourite Nigerian music group are on the verge of staging a comeback with two of the three singers Shifi and Zeal.
The R&B, Pop and gospel group has been active as early as year 1997 with a lot of transitions happening, involving members being formed and re-formed.
Serenading fans with love songs such as ‘Olufunmi‘, ‘Runway‘, ‘Imagine that‘ among many others, the group quickly became fan favourites.
In February 2006, the group released a 11-track debut album “Expressions“.
Styl-plus have performed with a number of artists including Femi Kuti, 2face, Psquare, Ruggedman, and have opened concerts for Wyclef Jean, Boys II Men and Yvonne Chaka Chaka.
The group has received awards – local and international such as the Channel O Awards with song ‘Call my name’ winning Best R&B Video.
In May 2008, the group released a second album titled “Back and Better”.
Eskimo Records also have signed to them artist Prokassy and guitarist Dunnie.
