Just in case you missed the premiere The Wedding Party movie last weekend, you missed the movie premiere of life!
It was an amazing night filled with great musical performances, food and entertainment, especially after watching the must-see comedy, hitting cinemas December 16th 2016.
One major part of the night was Mai Atafo‘s Bridal Court. The seasoned designer made all the gorgeous outfits worn in The Wedding Party movie and in the Bridal Court, he showcased outfits worn by Dozie and Dunni characters played by Banky W and Adesua Etomi, with a few pieces from his bridal collection from the Heineken Lagos Fashion & Design Week in October.
For the decor of the Bridal Court, Mai Atafo designed the layout of the space with in conjunction with Isio Wanogho with help from Decor By Furtullah and it was breathtaking.
Their choice of florals and pastel colours was bold enough to make a statement and yet understated to keep your attention on Mai Atafo’s lovely bridal collection.
We also like the use of flowers in the photo frames, a creative take on a typical, over used ‘flower wall’ and the big white piano available for anyone to play.
There were also photos from the Weddings by Mai Atafo collection from LFDW 2016 on the walls to show more of the designer’s work, and photos from the “Stay With Me” music video, a song by Mai Atafo featuring Waje and Praiz with an interesting short film featuring Bolanle Olukanni; who was present at the bridal court, Adesua Etomi, Wole Ojo and others.
